Sometimes when I start a For...Next or If...Then,
the editor highlights portions of the text in a yellowish color. I press the escape key, save and nothing makes the highlighting go away until I close and open the action.
Do others see this as well?
it does no harm. It is just annoying and I'm wondering if it has a purpose.
check if there is any .highlight is added in your code
when things gets harder ,the harder gets going
I used to get some code(like ascii code) beside the line number where we usually place breakpoint but never noticed yellow color

Are you on 12.1 Kevin?
I am on 12.1
I forgot to mention it in the post.
That yellowish color block of text is clear by entering Enter key, not by any other keys as I can see
Do you have any idea what the yellow color is indicating?
It happens a lot when I do an IF...Then.
It doesn't really matter. I'm only wondering what they are trying to indicate.
Kevin, it's highlighting the variable/expression that you want to evaluate. I think that utility is to make users aware of the syntax and avoiding syntax error.
I can see how it could be slightly useful. It lets me know which part of the expression is fixed and where the variables are.
