Here's a link to a very clear example of using a C# dll in QTP.
Does he even visit us anymore?
Hi I need to create below object, using mqax200.dll , but getting error!
Set MQSess = CreateObject("MQAX200.MQSession")
I have installed IBM Webshere client (as suggested here- Connection Of QTP to IBM Websphere MQ using VbScri... - HP Enterprise Business Community) as well but no luck..
I need to know how to use a dll to create object. any help please..
Ah. Fun with WebSphere. I've never actually gotten it to work. If you find a solution, please post it.
Did you author the class library, as outlined in Joe's blog? The reason I ask - if you wrote the file yourself, then chances are you've already compiled it and it should be registered already.
Since it's a com-visible library, regasm sounds like it'd be your buddy here.
If someone has provided the file to you, then you'll need to register it before it can be used by QTP / UFT. Regarding that, here are a couple of articles to read up on: How to register a C# or VB.Net DLL using RegAsm c# - what is difference b/w RegAsm.exe and regsvr32 ?? How to generate a tlb file using regsvr32? - Stack Overflow
If your team controls the file, the best solution in the long run would be to create an installer / uninstaller utility and use that to manage the install and cleanup process.
