YOU don't have to sort anything, at least not if I understand the original post.
Something in your app is supposed to be in alphabetical order. So just compare the items in the "column" (I am not sure what you mean by "column") one at a time to see if item(i+1)>item(i).
Something like this:
blnSortOrder = True 'At the end of this test, if it's still True, then everything is sorted, if not, then you found a bug.
strOld = first item in Column 'Not sure how to get this, maybe use a GetROProperty on the elements in the "column".
For i = 1 to NumberOfItemsInColumn ' Not sure how to get this because I don't know what your "column" is
strNew = ColumnElement(i) 'Not sure how to get this, maybe use a GetROProperty on the elements in the "column", use "Index:=" & i
If StrComp(strOld,strNew) <> -1 Then 'Getting a -1 means the old string is less than the new string, which is what we want, anything else is a fail
Reporter.ReportEvent micFail, "Testing Column Sort", "Found " & strNew & " before " & strOld
blnSortOrder = False
strOld = strNew 'Put the New value into the Old variable so it can be used in the next loop iteration
If blnSortOrder Then
Reporter.ReportEvent micPass, "Testing Column Sort", "All column elements tested and they are all in order."
Now all you need to do is figure out what your "column" is and then determine how to get the count of the elements that need to be sorted and then how to get each element into the strOld and strNew variables.
