Maximum QTP 11 library file size
I know it is probably a disorganized way of doing things, but I was curious what is the largest size script of library file someone has worked with.
Is there any degradation of file opening time or run time if the file becomes say over 100K lines?
Is there a limit of file size?
I haven't encountered a hard limit. But a large library or object repository file definitely impacts script opening time(or if loaded at run-time, the execution time). Really depends on your scope whether it matters or not. I was maintaining a suite of 3-400,000 test cases. So seconds mattered as they added up. Best practice for me in that situation was to divide everything up into small functional groups and load them dynamically.

I don't believe this information is disclosed. You will experience performance issues well before you reach limit; at the very least, you will have collaboration and maintenance issues and the library should be split up logically.
