How to click web object when page is downloading/syncing
I am unable to click in any of the web objects when status bar is downloading any web object. Currently, there is a bug in our application where downloading message does not goes even required web object is loaded. Since, page's status bar is showing loading therefore, when we try to perform next operation on any of the web object then nothing is happening. Seemingly; QTP does not allow to perform any operation on any of the web page when downloading of web object is in progress.
Did anybody face this issue before. Is there is way out here?
Thanks for your help in advance,
I am not completely sure of your description. Have you tried using
i am not sure if QTP doesnt allow any action during some downloads...but how abt trying with fireevent method as it doesnt depend on page loading.
Can you avoid landing on this particular page? Use the url to navigate without cliking the link.
Otherwise, QTP will just wait there for the operation to complete or report an error.
Navigate With Link Name
As said in above post,
I too suggest using Navigate.
Ex: Navigate ("href:=xyz") ' Use any unique link property like href to navigate directly to the link landing page instead of clicking on it
Thanks you all for your comments. I can not use the navigate method and the link is same. Any other way around?
Can you manually click on the objects when the status bar is showing? Are they active?
you can adjust browser navigation time in File -> Settings -> Web -> Browser navigation timeout as '0' so that it will immediately navigate to page.
