Can I use user defined Environment variables to store object properties...
Is it a good practice to store object properties as environment variables and call them at test execution. Below is a sample of the same,
There is a way to have QTP do the export of an OR as XML. Also QTP can read back into the OR. You may want to use the same format as QTP in case you ever have to work with ORs in the future.
You could also store the properties in a Excel table, csv or database.
It can be done. I don't know if it is a good idea or what the advantages are. I have done this with Excel tables. I enherited the framework, data, code. I could maintain it. I was never too sure what the added value was.
Are you following any framework ?
Yes you can but you refer Dictionary object it's pretty cool
