QTP triggeres uninstallation of encryption software
I'm currently working with a QTP installed machine which uses 'Check point endpoint security -full disk ecnrytion' for encrytion.
but when i try to record or play back certain actions in my application using QTP 10.00 it triggers an uninstallation of encrytion software, and the web browser becomes non responsive and no futher activity is possible. The actions produce the problem are simple navigations ( like navigation to certain pages via a link click).
If i try to navigat to the page manually there is no problem but when i try to do the same with QTP or manually on a QTP opened browser the above error occurs and most of the other page in the application have no issues
Can anyone please help me with this problem
Try launching the browser using QTP and then perform the operations manually and see if it help
Wondering why are you still using QTP 10. It's End Of Life already. I'm not sure if upgrading to QTP11 or UFT 11.50 would help that.
BTW, continue to Tarun post, I'd suggest you to try this:
In Record and Run Settings, enter the URL to your web page and start recording. Play with different options there, like don't record on opened browser to see if it works for you. It's quite strange that recording on Web on encrypted disk invoke the uninstallation of program. I have workstation that fully encrypted and can work just fine with QTP.

This error occurs whenever the steps are performed on a QTP opened browser manually or with QTP
I have also tried all the combbinations inside the record and run settings also but the error occured with all settings
Can you please look into the eventviewer logs (From Run dialog, type eventvwr) and let us know, if you see any error messages related to QTP or the encryption software when you perform the click operation on the QTP opened browser?
This usually indicates a corrupted registry setting. Run a registry cleaning app and see if that helps
The below message is found under the encrytion software in eventviewer
The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( prot_srv ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Uninstallation started, logged on user tp.temp
no error messages found under QTP
I am not allowed to install extra softwares in the machine, for that i requires approvals from IT team. Is there any manual ways to clean up registry, I have tried reinstalling QTP but it didnt solve the problem
