How to automate an webpage whose title changes frequently
I am trying to automate a webpage "http://in.finance.yahoo"
My objective is to read read user input which in this case is the name of the companies.
Then input this company name in the website and download the historical results from the website.
So I have two events to perform at the webpage level.
First of all , take the user input "company name" , input it to the homepage search text box and then click the "historical results" button.
The problem is that once I click the "historical results" button , the website refreshes the home page and navigates the user to a new webpage.
This is where my problem comes. I am using descriptive programming and for Page name I am using only Home page name.
How to modify my code so as to ensure that even after page refresh , the code can identify the new updated page ?
Your expert knowledge would be of great help.
Thanks and regards with best wishes
also i didnt understand the issue you are facing, can you detail ?
as per my understanding, if you are not able to recognize the browser using its title which is changing dynamically - how about using creation time property.
Also can you brief us an example, what is changing?
Try Regular expression, instead of "home page" use "\w.*"
As வேணு suggested, if this is just a issue of home page title change than use regular expression.
As you are using DP for identification, you can provide pattern there as well.
Provide more detail about your case if this is not the case.
Either issue is just a home papge title change
