Objects not identified on Pega System using QTP 11.0
I tired going through all the threads without any luck to find a solution. Can you please have a look at the below and provide me any suggestion. Your help is much appreciated
Am trying to use QTP 11.00 to create test on Pega System application. It is a webpage with Ajax load. Am having hard time capturing the objects and running the test. The initial login screen works fine. But once the welcome screen is displayed (ajax load), QTP can't seem to be recognizing any object. But this doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes maximizing or refreshing the browser enables the objects to be identified. This is the time I record the script and capture all the objects. But when running the scripts, after the login screen, the objects aren't getting identified. Using Object Spy shows that it identifies just Browser and Page without any properties associated to it. So I can't look for any objects in the screen. I tried Sync, Wait and Exist options and none of them seem to be working.
I even tried putting a loop to check Exists option to check for Page for 30 mins. Still no good.
Am I missing something? Is there any pre setup that needs to be done before capturing the scripts? Please help me out
Thanks in advance
If you do not receive any recommendations from this site and others, it may be a good idea to contact HP directly.
For QTP 11 install patch QTPWeb_00124.
For QTP 11.5, update 2 registry settings:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\MicTest\Packages\WebPackage\Settings] set "IgnoreSpecialBlankPage" entry value to 1.
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Professional\MicTest\Packages\WebPackage\Settings] set "IgnoreSpecialBlankPage" entry value to 1.
