suspended run session in QTP
any idea what is suspended run session in qtp.
Command Tab (Debug Viewer Pane)
"You can enter lines of code in the Command tab only when a run session is suspended. When no run session is suspended, you can view the command history, select and copy text from it, or use the Clear All context menu command.
If it's what I'm thinking, its similar to the "Immediate Window" in Visual Studio. It basically allows you to evaluate code that you couldn't do in the "Watch" window. I assume that suspended means when the test is paused or you're at a breakpoint.
You can insert statement in command tab during debug time. Suppose you want to change value of variable i=6 during debug time. you can send i=6 and script will reset i=6 in script.
UFT11.5 do not have command tab, but you have console window , also you will get the command run box( same as command tab) there.
Suspended here means that your code is paused at some location because of a breakpoint or an error. The execution engine puts your script in suspended mode and you can examine the existing state using Watch, Variables or Command window
that thing we can do in Watch as well. Watch also allows you to reset the value of any variable. any thing specific with Command??
