I havent worked much on this but what i know is we should hardcode everything in your recovery functions.
As recovery scenarios are built for known situations only, to handle.
How can we hard code it.....
can u plz explain with this eg
I am creating a recovery scenario for the Test run error, and the i am selecting the error as Object not found.
I need the object name for which recovery scenario is triggred. while trying this scenario...... during the recovery scenario execution i can see the following result details........ from the HP run result viewer .
Defined in: D:\test_rec.qrs
Post-recovery operation: Proceed to next test iteration.
Activated by trigger:
Type: Test run error
The error string: Cannot identify the object
The current test step details:
Result: Cannot identify the object
so in this recovery scenario execution the Object is "WebEdit("answer(object::UserDetail::use")" i need this exact text...
I prefer to write a large function that checks for conditions that the Recovery Scenario looks for. I make a call to it in the functions in my library when I expect that an error condition may occur. I prefer this because I find the RSM difficult to maintain and it seems to slow down the script more than custom functions.
I am not familar with this line of code.
