Issue in selecting an item in weblist in IE8
Currently I am automating a Pega application embedded IE 8 browser. When I record the weblist selection option , I get the below statement
Browser("B').Page("P").Weblist("x").select "ABCD". When I replay the statement using the Run button, I get an error message "The specified Item does not exists in the weblist".
Even when I spy the weblist object, I get Items Count as "1" although I see 12 items in the same web list object.
When I searched the forum , I got replies that there are other ways to solve it. As I am new to using native object properties [".Object" methods and properties],
can anybody suggest me the methods and properties that I need to use inorder to solve this issue. Kindly advice. Thanks very much for your support.
Can anybody hellp me with my above request.
can you give a shot by clicking the weblist and then getting the count/selecting your required option
IT seems that QTP is finding the object, but not the item in the list. To make sure try using:
Browser("B').Page("P").Weblist("x").highlight to see if the object flashes.
Then instead of using "ABCD"
Try with .select"#1" to see if you can select by index.
You can do a .GetRoProperty("the property that shows the list of items") to find out what items QTP sees in the list.
