Window.Window is giving error
I am automating Office applications. In this, I encountered an weird issue:
Window("text:=Microsoft PowerPoint.*").Window("regexpwndclass:=Net UI Tool Window").exist
It is giving me an error that says
<Object doesn't support this property or method: 'Window(...).Window'>
whereas the above code works fine (ie True or False) if I use recorded object for first Window instead of programmatic description.
If I use below, then it works fine:
Window("Microsoft PowerPoint").Window("regexpwndclass:=Net UI Tool Window").exist
It is happening only in 1 machine and not in other machine
Has someone experienced this type of issue?
Maybe there is some setting in QTP that is causing this issue.
Note: Both the machines are 64 bit with Windows 7
Re: Window.Window is giving error
Thanks all. This issue is resolved now. The issue was due to Object Repository.
Generally, we do not use Object Repository but we are using it for steps where checkpoints are used.
I will be submitting a case to HP mentioning the issue to get into the depth of it.
Maybe, the OR is corrupted
