I'm using IE9 on Win7(64bit) with QTP 10, fully patched. I have a script that navigates to a little over 900 pages and IE9 seems to crash every 70 to 100 pages. It seems to recover and the script will move on, but the crash has to be manually vetted. Anybody else experience similar issue? How did/do you get around it?
A good rule of thumb is to never measure with your thumb.
check the memory use of IE through each iteration, if it keeps going up it's heading for a crash!
A while back on IE6 if you minimised the browser and then restored it it cleaned up a lot of memory. Might still be relavent - I think it had to be done with mouse clicks to press the minimise button as using the native qtp method didn't help.
