can ms ppt 2007 ribbon be identified by qtp!!

I am trying to identify different elements in the ribbon of MS Powerpoint 2007 such as Table when you click on Insert button in the ribbon but the whole ribbon is getting identified as single object (WinObject) in QTP?

Can someone please let me know if it can be identified by QTP (by using any add-in or something else)?

To automate PP I would advise you to use the PP COM Object.

We are using that also but to automate certain case(like doing something will grey out that button or doing something will enable that button), we are required to identify the ribbon or at least the elements inside the ribbon. Can that be done using QTP or any other workaround?

Why are you testing the creation of a PowerPoint?

You are correct...we should not do that since it is MS thing, however, we are trying to automate this for our plug in for PPT which has separate copy and paste buttons. Can this be possible now?
