Recently I started to come up with this problem on Java-Application menus.
QTP sees a Menu as disabled and when I look at the application I see that that menu is half pressed.
you can look at the screenshot what I mean by half pressing.
Can anyone help me with this annoying situation, please..?
I look serious because I am serious.
How are you selecting the menus? Using Javamenu object or DeviceReplay?
I select my files with descriptive programming. I wrote you a file select code as an example
JavaWindow("label:=" &Server&".com 9353.*").JavaMenu("label:=File").JavaMenu("label:= Select Network Layout ...").Select
Do you find any error in the Report?
Can you try this?
JavaWindow("label:=" &Server&".com 9353.*").JavaMenu("label:=File").JavaMenu("label:= Select Network Layout.*").Select
I have already tried that before. that is not something related to regular expressions.
I noticed that QTP sees sub-menus even if real menu is not selected as in manual testing.
But it is not possible to select top menus, QTP gives type mismatch error. Also restore sometimes give type mismatch error.
Instead I have found a solution like this, just click (not select) menu and wait half a second just before selecting submenu.By this way, I regard the situations like this half pressed menu.
