I am working on Machine A,after running the script one XML will be generated. If I run the same script on Machine B,before running the script I need to delete some data wut is generated in Machine A XML file.. Is it possible in QTP that association can be done within QTP itself instead of having QC or anyother tool so that I carry the file from one machine to another machine..
Yes, this is one of the solution. before execution of your scripts you need to copy the files using fso. create the utility.
For example A,B,C machines are there now based on the last date & time created you can copy files from either A/B/C. if you know that the recent is A. from where you are executing then there is no need or else it need to copy from either B/C.
In this way build your logic.
Manual effort takes less than a minutes but in terms of automation it takes more but more reliable than the manual way as it reduces the human errors.
when things gets harder ,the harder gets going
In my case folder is not shared..The file will be generated by a QTP Script in M/C(A) and If I wanna run the same script in M/C(B),I don wanna transfer the file manually instead Is there any way that I can carry the file along within the script itself?
