Hello Ganesh , I have to do validation for numeric/alpha neumeric fields in my application .Let us say if a field is 16 bit integer data type , the range of values it can take will be -32768 to 32767. If i enter data in field beyond those range - application must throw a java script validation error with a static message . This is what i have to validate through my testcase .Since the message will never change so it is a static text .
Since i have to do similar kind of validation for many screens , it makes sense for me to use custom check point because i understand that we can not re-use QTP's default check point .
