Is there a way to run an If statement only upon encountering an error WITHOUT using a recovery scenario? I currently have my test settings setup where it will proceed to next action iteration upon an error. I just need to perform a check with an If statement before it proceeds to the next action iteration.
Is it ok to always do the IF at the start of the next iteration when an error occurs in the current iteration?
If yes, you could do something like setting a variable at the end of the iteration and if it is not executed, then that means QTP didn't finish the iteration and the next iteration can evaluate the varaible to determine if the IF should be done. You'd need to add more code to reset the variable for the remaining iterations.
Do you need to iterate the action? Or can you add looping code inside the action instead?
