EventID jumps when using LogEvent
Using this code:
Set dic = CreateObject("Scripting.Dictionary")
dic("Status") = micPass
dic("NodeName") = "Test number: " & Test_No
dic("StepHtmlInfo") = "<H1>Test Info"
newContext = Reporter.LogEvent ("User", dic, Reporter.GetContext())
Now when I wrap this in a function in my framework, and feed it a few different automated tests, everything works well the first time it's executed (the first time the context id = 7), but the second time it's executed (ie when the second test is executed) the contextid suddenly jumps to a value over 500 on executing the LogEvent line (creating a very mixed up report!).
If I watch the Reporter.GetContext value, the contextid is ok until this line is executed. Anyone have an idea why this is happening?
Re: EventID jumps when using LogEvent
Context id is based on the # of events reported to the reporting media by QTP. That's why by next iteration the count can be quite higher
