SOAP Web Service - Unable to connect
I have been trying to connect to a Soap web service via QTP 11 (tried DP and Web Service Add Service Wizard) with no success.
In the Web Service Add Service Wizard, when I enter the WSDL file location and click Next, I get the error
"The selected service is invalid. Select a diferent service."
Using DP, when I use the following code to invoke the Status method (method does not require any input):
sSvcWSDL = "wsdl:=http://website.net/services/addrservice.v1.soap.svc?wsdl"
sSvcName = "service:=AddressService"
sSvcPort = "port:=WSHttpBinding_IAddressService"
Ret = WebService(sSvcWSDL, sSvcName, sSvcPort).Status
QTP gives the error "The tolkit was unable to perform the status operation. Confirm that
- The Status operation is defined in your Web service
- Your WSDL is available
- The service and port properties for the [WebService] test object are defined correctly in the object repository."
Both of these methods work fine on prior web services.
Has anyone encountered this and how did you solve it?
Re: SOAP Web Service - Unable to connect
Another piece of info that might help is that the new service is using SOAP 1.2. The older services were using SOAP 1.1. Could this be a factor?
