    Associate Recovery Scenario Function using AOM

    Hi,
    How can we associate recovery scenario function using AOM? I have a script which loads the recovery scenaios into each QTP script at runtime:-
    Set qtTestRecovery = objQtpApp.Test.Settings.Recovery
    qtTestRecovery.Add relativepath&"Rec Scen.qrs", "Rec Desc", 1

    Now how can i associate a vbs file to this which contains the function to be called when this recovery scenario is triggered?
    Something like qtTestRecovery.Recovery("Rec Scen.qrs").AddFunction "RecFunction.vbs","Function Rec1()" ?

    You cannot do that at run-time. It had to be done before the test starts

    Re: Associate Recovery Scenario Function using AOM

    I do want to do that before the test starts running only.
    I have a driver script which opens each test, loads recovery scenarios, library functions etc to each script and then runs the QTP script. I want the recovery scenrio to be associated with a vbs function file at the time each recovery scenario is loaded into each QTP script before the "objQtpApp.Test.Run " statement occures. How can i do that using the AOM?

    There's no published method to modify the function associated to the Recovery Scenario file. May be this can go as ER in a future version to HP.

    But wouldn't that association of library happen when you define the function itself in RS?

    I am still not clear on your requirement? Do you want this function to be defined at run-time?

    Yes, I assume he wants to update that file association/the function.

    Yes, i want to update the function file location. We run the scripts on different machines.The recovery scenario files and corresponding vbs function files are in a particular folder in our framework. I am able to load the recovery scenarios from this location for each qtp script using AOM, i want to associate the function file corresponding to each RS also using AOM.

    Re: Associate Recovery Scenario Function using AOM

    You cannot do that but what you can do is that you use ExecuteFile to load the same function with a different code. This call needs to be done with a function in the associated lib.

    RS will then call this newly loaded function
