Is it possible that the SYNC command would not work best if the web App is in Ajax not Java ?
I switched from WAIT(3) for example to SYNC
But skipped some steps, in another word, it kept going as if it was deceived !
you could have selected the pause button once in QTP while it is executing.
when things gets harder ,the harder gets going
I cant message you as my posts are less than 35. I'll check that out and will inform you if I find anything.

Anish what's the analogy !! less than 35!!
On what object/control have u placed this command!!! I think what u can do is check for control status or someother parameter that gets changed prior/during/after AJAX call.

Hi Carrying Smiles,
Sorry, my message was out of context. I'm not able to send private messages as my number of posts is less than 35. I just tried to pass it through.
AJAX application usually needs some special handling and you shouldn't be using sync.
The usual way to deal with the situation is to see a stable object which will be there once the operation is completed and then build a method to wait for that stable object to exist
