    How to see function defenition?

    I have a Test, which is using many libraries..

    I have a call statement in Test, i.e.

    Call f_abc()

    I dont know in which library this function is written...

    How can I reach to the function?

    that waht I'm trying to find..

    if I have 6 Libs, shall I manually go to each one?

    I think thr must a short key.. like click on function name and press F3(not in qtp).... It works in other language editors.

    Is thr anything in qtp like that?

    Or... you right click name of the function and select Go To Function Definition from the menu. It should open the correct function library with that function at the bottom of the screen.

    you can put a break point and step into the function and it will tell you which file it is in.

    Re: How to see function defenition?

    once you load the library files in QTP you can see the list of library files to your left ( i guess it is associate library tab)

    i use vbs editor it has object browser where i can see the list of functions available.

    Note: one disadvantage is if i have duplicate function it does not show up

    You can also select the name of the function or put the cursor inside the name and then hit ALT + G.

    But remember that QTP will not take you to a function definition when you do that in a function lib and the actual function exists in some other function lib. even though they might be associate to the same test
