now days people are writing webpages without table. You can control your page more by using <Div> with style sheet and the mean time it will look like a table as well. Out site don't have any tables. only few pages do.
Web add ins are generally loaded in QTP when you test web sites (web applications), but sometimes those sites embed some java, ActiveX components etc so in this case you need to load the appropriate Add in.

if the page rendered by the server contains only HTML code, I do not think "web add-in" will fail.
