I want to execute few commands like "ls -ltr " or anything such commands on Unix machine using QTP or vb scripting. Is it possible to do that?
What would be the best practice for this?
Please share some samples on this.
from windows you connect via putty and execute these commands.
when things gets harder ,the harder gets going
Ya thats correct. It is possible to connect to Putty & then execute the commands.
Is it possible to capture the results of executed Commands?
Can you try using the following to print all the output of the executed commands
sOutputTxt = objExecObject.StdOut.ReadAll()
You are looking for a application called plink.exe which comes with putty and allows you to run unix commands via windows script host and return the output via stdout.
