Remember one ground rule. Automation tool is not a tool which will run on its own whatever keyword you provide. For implementing this for all the keywords code behind should be there in QTP or VBS files. What I have done is I have my master sheet. In that I have created list boxes in all the cells containing screen names as keywords. Now user selects those screen names and remember user should select those in logical flow of the application. Now after selecting those screen level key words user need to select the data and user will achieve this by selecting data from individaul sheets which are based on master sheet keyword ie sheetname and keyword name should be same. This is what I have implemented. Anybody else can implement this in his or her own format depends on requirement. See you can achieve anything with QTP. Only limitation is how much you can think upon. Cheers.
Thanks for the answers... for my third question..my manager wants manual testers to create the test plan and test case with keywords and the automation tester have to create function libraries and driver scripts..so I was wondering how to go about it...can we create it test cases in test plan module but can I check for the keyword there.,,if thats case
