    Identifying Checkbox inside SilverLight Table

    Hi,

    I am currently automating Silverlight application version 3.5 using QTP 10. In a Particular Page, we have a Silverlight Table control inside which we have Silverlight Checkbox control. When we try the object spy, Checkbox is not getting recognized, only Silverlight table object is getting identified.

    Below is the Code recorded while selecting the Checkbox inside the SilverLight Table,
    Browser ().Page ().SlvWindow ("SlvwdF").SlvTable ("gridTree").SelectCell 2,"Caption"

    When we run the above code, it just highlights particular rather than selecting the checkbox.

    Child Item also not supported by the Silverlight table. Does anyone automating the Silverlight application have this problem?

    Regards,
    Dinesh

    Re: Identifying Checkbox inside SilverLight Table

    If you have silverlight addin for the correct version ...QTP should have methods to work on the above mentioned methods....

    Check your addin and support versions here : http://h30501.www3.hp.com/t5/Quality...4-0/td-p/12585

    Re: Identifying Checkbox inside SilverLight Table

    Try using ChildObjects or else use
    Browser ().Page ().SlvWindow ("SlvwdF").SlvTable ("gridTree").ClickCell Row, Column.

    Try using these n post your observations
    Thanks,

    Re: Identifying Checkbox inside SilverLight Table

    Hi,

    Checkbox child object is identified qtp i din't do anything. just reviewed our page gridview coding and added one more stackpanel for the checkbox control. now its working.

    Please anybody clear my doubts why QTP is not recognized my slvtable child object without stack panel after adding stackpanel in development phase its working.

    In other page we din't add any stack panel for the checkbox. its not working also.

    Please share your opinion.

    Re: Identifying Checkbox inside SilverLight Table

    Hi,
    Today I got some more information from HP support team.
    We don't want to change the development code as i said earlier about stack panel.
    There are two possibilities to select the checkbox within the gridview.
    Using Stack Panel while developer writing code for checkbox within the gridview.
    Checkbox coding (without Stack Panel)
    <CheckBox x:Name="chkCancel" VerticalAlignment="Center" IsEnabled="{Binding chkDoWOstatus}" IsChecked="{Binding chkApprove, Mode=TwoWay}"
    Command="{Binding chk_Lock,Source={StaticResource WoList}}"
    CommandParameter="{Binding chkApprove}"
    HorizontalAlignment="Center" HorizontalContentAlignment="Center" />

    1. HP Support team solution :
    Browser().Page().Slvwindow().SlvTable().se lectcell 0 , 2
    Browser().Page().Slvwindow().SlvTable().se tcelldata 0,2,1

    But object is not identified in the object spy window.

    2. Stack Panel solution : Changing the code. Adding Stack panel wherever using child object within gridview.
    For Example
    Same check box code add one more line in the code.
    Checkbox coding (with Stack Panel)
    <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" VerticalAlignment="Center">
    <CheckBox x:Name="chkCancel" VerticalAlignment="Center" IsEnabled="{Binding chkDoWOstatus}" IsChecked="{Binding chkApprove, Mode=TwoWay}"
    Command="{Binding chk_Lock,Source={StaticResource WoList}}"
    CommandParameter="{Binding chkApprove}"
    HorizontalAlignment="Center" HorizontalContentAlignment="Center" />

    </StackPanel>

    Now Object Spy identifies the object within the gridview.

    Regards,
    S. Indra
