How can I nominate a specific area of the screen that is not being recognized as an object to click on?
I have a menu of links/buttons down the left side of the screen that are not being individually recognized. The record function doesn’t pick the click on any link up and records nothing for this action. If I use the object spy it doesn’t recognise each link/button either, this area of the screen is "WinObject: Internet Explorer_Server"
I'm using IE7
I've tried using the virtual object manager but you can only map a virtual object to a standard object class.
Re: How can I nominate a specific area to click on?
It doesn’t, everything on this first page is just one "WinObject: Internet Explorer_Server" nothing is individual. There is only a few other buttons on this page.
Once I click a link and navigate to another page everything in the application is recognized uniquely, its as if this first page is hidden under something. Is it possible its a setting in QTP? I have did some work on this application before and seem to remember it recording fine
