My apologies if this has already been addressed but I was unable to find it in this forum or any other.
I need a way to update test settings for all my tests that doesn't involve me opening each test and configure manually. I have a script that will update one test at a time but requires me to open each test manually. I would like to specify a folder that contains all of my test subfolders and go through each test and configure. Preferably without launching QTP and opening each test. Does anyone have such a script to do this?
Tony, currently it is impossible to do the same without launching QTP and without opening the Test also. So you need to follow what you have. But you can always use FSO to get the scripts present in a folder then process each of them one by one using QTP AOM
It's impossible to configure all the test without opening them one by one (at least I haven't found the way to do it so far). One of the best solutions for this problem is to create a config file (it can be txt or xls) when you start creating a new project and make all the tests to take data from this config file. Now, if I need to change some settings for my projects I just change values in my config file and it saves a lot of time for me.
