we are supporting 3 different languages for which we are maintaining 3 separate VBS files.
what i suggest is segregate the common files and make as generic to be used across the 2 different versions/languages.
and then make 2 vbs files one for English and one for Japanese.
in that way you can achieve maximum re usability.

I tried the way you suggested for doing POC. I stored japaneese text in excel and queried on excel.I have given message box to check the value but it is displaying as some characters(unreadable characters)but not the japaneese text.
