i have a page which has webtable. It works fine in IE6 but in IE8 the table shows horizontal scroll. seems like it kinda shrinks in IE*. we need to capture such kind of alignment issue of webtable in browsers.
Are you thinking of detecting the presence of the Horizontal scroll bar & mark it pass/fail?
I guess, coz its showing table width as same in both the browsers.
Not sure , how to detect the presence of Horizontal scroll for webtable. any suggestions??
Guys any suggestions on this one???
How does this get identified on Spying over the scrollbar.

It just shows Web Element with name as BP BP BP BP ..
but this horizontal scroll bar appears in IE8 only and not in IE6.
You can throw in an exist on webelement and fail if it does exist.
But such browser rendering issues aren't something that QTP tests very well. Reason why it's now called "functional testing".
You'd have to know ahead of time what the failure points would be, like this extra webelement and check for them. So they may as well have just been manually tested and fixed by dev.
U could do one thing, the Webtable has a scroll attached. Just try to capture the webtable object and apply the methods.
I am not sure, but as mentioned in the above post we might need to check it may b manually.
I tried capturing the webtable and checked for methods to identify any scroll attached. but couldn't get any.
