Silverlight 4 with QTP 10 Object Position Issues
I decide to create a new post
Hi, I'm new in this forum and same testing with QTP, and I have this question. We are testing silverlight objects with QTP 10.0, S.O Win XP, and when I'm recording in QTP, every thing itīs fine, not error,the checkpoint said that the object exist, but in a running sesion when I click a silverligh button nothing happens, so I did highlight the object and this is the problem:
#### <-------- here is the botton
$$$$ <-------- here is the highlight
So the problem is that the position that the object have in properties don't match with the real location on screen and it clicks an empty space. I tried using DP but the same happend, here is my code:
Browser("name:=/macsadjustmentview").Page("title:=/macsadjustmentview").SlvWindow("classname:=MACS2SL App.MainPage").SlvEdit("parent text:=Load ID","slvtypename:=edit").Set "947653"
Set btnSearch =Browser("name:=/macsadjustmentview").Page("title:=/macsadjustmentview").SlvWindow("classname:=MACS2SL App.MainPage").SlvButton("devname:=btnSearch","tex t:=Search","parent text:=Adjustment","devnamepath:=btnSearch;;Content Frame;;")
Add-ins are Web, WPF,Silverlight
And Low Level Recording is not an option for my Boss, jeje
This is the exe that I install for silverlight QTPNET_00046
Am I missing something?
Thanks for reply Rajkumar, I tried your suggestion but didn't work
Can go as a separate post.

But anyways, I can see that there some special characters in your description and QTP treats them as Regular Expression by default.
So you have instruct QTP to treat them as literal characters, by inlcuding a backslash(\), prior to the special character.
