Batch Tests Results
I am having one doubt. Please clarify.
1) I have 3 functionalities a) login Page b ) Entering sone data c) Verifying the data.
2) The first functionality login page is saved in "test one" and executed successfully.
3) The Second functionality "Entering sone data" is saved in "test Two" and executed successfully.
4)The Third functionality "Verifying the data" is saved in "test Three" and executed successfully.
5) Now the 3 functionalities are in different tests and working successfully.
6) Now through "Batch Tests", i executed the 3 tests through batch tests, it is executed successfully.
Results : displaying the results only the final test, which is included in batchtests.
But i need all the results, in the results page.
Please help me, from this situation.
Re: Batch Tests Results
Results will be stored in respective script folder so you need to open results from the same to see the results.
If you want to see entire results in single file, instead of creating a QTP Btach create another QTP test and call all these three tests as 'Call to Existing Actions'.
Re: Batch Tests Results
I am attempting to do the same as kisskasa and am running into the same issue. I am not fond of digging into each individual script to see the result for that run. I would like to see a summary of all script results and the result for each script run via the Test Batch Runner (similar to how QTP displays each action inside a QTP script).
If I 'Call an Existing Action' in a QTP script (to create a QTP driver script), I have to specify EACH action in a script and be very careful of the execution order. Some of my scripts have 6-9 actions per script and I have multiple scripts like this. Maintenance nightmare, esp. if trying to create multiple test variations based on build contents.
Is there a way to specify ONLY the script names, with out the action name, so that ALL the actions inside it get executed?
Is there also a built-in QTP environment variable which shows the P/F/W results of each script as they complete so that I can export the results inside of a QTP script? I have a spreadsheet where I am putting timings and could export those results as well. but can't find a built in variable to use inside QTP yet.
All I have been able to find is the external vbs call qtTest.LoastRunResults.Status. Not even sure what it shows yet. I would rather have only QTP scripts instead of both QTP scripts AND a host of VBS scripts to keep track of.
Thanks for any help.
