In my web application, i have few links. On clicking them, it should take me to the respective header in the same page(not new page). For example, i have links called"Top","Middle Page","Last Page" at the bottom of the page.On clicking any link say "Middle Page", it should take me there and show the header"Middle Page". How to access this header using QTP 10.0? or how to automate this case using QTP 10.0?
U can define/identify specific webelements/text which correspond to the area you are trying to access. I mean, if you click on the Top Link/Button/Icon, it takes you to the top of the page. Try to spy on the header, check if this is a webelement. Use either the inner/outer text to identify such an element
Yes. Header is a webelement. But i can't go with exist or visible property.Because QTP will look into that entire page and say this webelement is there. Here i want to check only that section of the page alone is displayed with that header.
