The new application (in fact its 10+yr old) that we are to start automation uses IFrames all around!
Point here is using DP, I can access any object without specifying Frame in hierarchy (I mean Window.Page.WebEdit). However when I add objects to the OR, it automatically adds frame in the hierarchy.. is there any way to get rid of it?
Re: How to eliminate frame from the object hierarchy?
Hi through DP if you create a framework where the object property values are referenced by a XML or any other means of file, This will act as a Centralized object repositary. If you want to make use of QTP OR and if you want to ignore the IFrame or Frame then just delete the entry and cut and paste the objects inside the Frame into a level above it like Browser.Page.Frame.Obj cut Obj and paste it to Broswer.Page.Obj and delete Frame. Then try highlighting the obj using highlight property in OR and see if the object is getting identified in the application if it does well and good you can use Shared OR. Hope this helps.
