I am using below script to execute a test case, and for flex/flash application, when the Adobe flash player error dialog pops up, QTP will sit there until I manually click on "Continue" button on Adobe Flash player error dialog in order to continue to run QTP test case. So how do I set timeout for a test case if QTP gets stuck in this case or it's take too long to execute? Or any suggestion how to handle this isssue?
'Create the Application object
Set App = CreateObject("QuickTest.Application") '
App.Launch ' Start QuickTest
App.Visible = True ' Make the QuickTest application visible
' Open the test in read-only mode
App.Open strTestCase, True
Set qtResultsOpt = CreateObject("QuickTest.RunResultsOptions") ' Create the Run Results Options object
'Run a test case - do NOT delete this line
App.Test.Run qtResultsOpt ' Run the test
You can use a QTP Recovery Scenario which will wait for the Adobe flash player error dialog and when it opens the Recovery Scenario can handle clicking on the 'Continue' button. The tests can then carry on or stop with a fail at that point
