This is for validating the fields in a form during open account process. When a field is not entered, and i click continue, a pop up box appears with the message "You must verify the routing number by reentering it." The pop up has a header "Error" and there is a OK button, which if u click will close the pop-up. the check point is set in such a way that it checks for the text between Error and Ok. I am getting error as follows:
Text Checkpoint: captured "" between Error and Ok , expected "You must verify the Bank Routing Number by re-entering it."
Match case: OFF
Exact match: ON
Ignore spaces: ON
For all the other cases , the message displays on the browser itself and I am able to capture those messages using appropriate end points in check point.
Does anyone has idea how to capture text in such pop-up.? Can the similar method of setting text checkpoint in browser be used for pop-up as well?
I haven't tried that. As I said, i did create check points to capture the text that is displayed on the page itself. I am not sure how to handle the pop-up.
Do you mean to use GetROproperty to get the message, store it in a variable?I would try using that tomorrow if you give me few more details.
If you have time, I could send the screenshots which would be more helpful for figuring out the solution. If that is possible, send me an email at .... and i will send u the screenshots.
I am getting the "text" of the pop-up by output value. I open Notepad and close it and try to capture text on pop-up.
The text is in run-time datasheet which can be use/manupluate at run time.
SystemUtil.Run "notepad","","C:\Documents and Settings\",""
Window("Notepad").WinEditor("Edit").Type "Any text you give"
Window("Notepad").Dialog("Notepad").Static("The text in the Untitled").Output CheckPoint("The text in the Untitled file has changed. Do you want to save the changes?_3")
