In the object repository (Local or Shared), Set the Ordinal Identifier CreationTime = 0 for Browser and remove all the properties for page and run the tests. The tests will run on any browser with the same webpages. But make sure you have only one open browser(AUT) all the times.
The other server I want to run the tests against has the following ETOSoftware.ORG.CA or the browser and page, according to the object spy.
Now, I can get one regression suite to run with the tests pointing to ETOSoftware.ORG even though the page spy results come back as ETOSoftware.ORG.CA.
For the other regression tests, I cannot get them to run. I was wondering why one set of tests would run fine and the other would not. Is there a setting that allows the tests to run under ETOSoftware.ORG even though the browser and page are ETOSoftware.ORG.CA?
Can I just use a wildcard in the object property for browser and page:
If so, what do I need to change to make this work?
If you want to use the same test for different pages' names you can just copy the pages in the object repository you use and rename them.
Also you can create parameters in the script that will be different depending on the variant of the application you want to test.
There are many variants of realization. If you detail your tasks I'll give more detailed advices.
