Mapping a custom button to an SwfButton
I'm trying to map a simple 3rd party button control. It accepts a click parameter, so I'd like to simply tell QTP to treat it as an SwfButton instead of SwfObject.
When I select Tools > Object Identification, the 'user defined' option is not enabled for .NET windows forms.
Trying to use the standard windows option to map it does not seem to work.
Does anyone know of another way to handle this?
Re: Mapping a custom button to an SwfButton
Aha! And of course after I posted the question I continued to work on it, and figured it out. Much simpler than I though it would be.
For anyone interested, simply update the SwfConfig.XML with a tag like this:
<Control Type="Vendor.ControlSuite.CustomerButton" MappedTo="SwfButton"></Control>
You don't have to define custom record or custom playback in order to use the 'mappedto' feature.
