Getting number of dymanic edit fields from Applet
I have a Java applet that produces an arbitrary number of edit fields. I need to see how many of those there are and whether they are auto-populated.
Could someone point me in the general direction?
I'm a newb. Please be gentle.
Re: Getting number of dymanic edit fields from Applet
Make use of the Description object and the ChildObjects method.
Something like this.
<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
set pObject = <your applet object in the Object repository>
Set Desc = Description.Create()
Desc("Class Name").Value = "JavaEdit"
Set ChildObjects = pObject.ChildObjects( Desc )
cnt = ChildObjects.Count
strReport = pObject.ToString() & " contains the following child object(s)"
For i = 0 To cnt - 1
strReport = strReport & vbNewLine & ChildObjects.Item(i).ToString() & " '" & pProperty & "' = '" & ChildObjects.Item(i).GetROProperty(pProperty ) & "'"
