Maintenance Run Mode in QTP 10.0
Can somebody explain to me how the maintenance run mode is used?
I understand it is supposed to step through the script, alerting the user as soon as an object cannot be identified and then having the user either point to the object in the application or simply add a comment at that point.
But as soon as I run maintenance run mode the very first step of my script fails asking me to point to the object or to add a comment.
If i chose to point to the objectt, it says "The object you selected is similar to the object that failed this step. This may be due o a non unique description. Therefor the maintenance run wizzard cannot use this object to resolve your failed step."
How can there be any problems identifying the object?
I cannot see why maintenance run mode will not perform the first step (entering a username)... If I run the test with maintenance mode off and smart identification turned of as well, the script works perfectly.
Thanks in advance

Hmmm. that is strange. Why don't you take this up with HP support?
