I have scheduled the test set run on a remote machine.
Several times the test cases have failed stating the error 'QTP computer locked or logged off'.
How should i tackle this and what could be the reason for this error?
Reason is before the QTP launched the machine was loacked.
One way to resolve this is to make a simple utility that send keystocks to the machine after certain time period. That will prevent the machine to be locked.
The thing is, that I have a windows task scheduled using my user credentials. That task runs at night when I am not logged on.
Should this not work? The other anomaly is that I don't face this error every time. It happens only sometimes. How come it runs on some days and shows "locked or logged off" on other days?
Do the following steps:
1. Goto ControlPanel-->PowerOptions-->select the "Turnoff" monitor as Never.
2.select the ScreenSaver as NOne.
do this in local & remote machine & try.
All my settings are just as mentioned above.
Still sometimes it gives the error.
What is the duration of the test? possible that sometimes the test may have run into some issues, which caused idle time and system was locked.

Each test takes 5 min...but this problem occurs right from the first test case and comes out in 5-6 seconds and goes to the 2nd test case...this happens for every subsequent tests
