How many QTP licenses to upgrade to Global?
My company is interested in upgrading some of our QTP concurrent licenses to Global, and since they are expensive, we want to be very careful about how many upgrades to order. When it comes to these kinds of licenses, what is an appropriate ratio of users to licenses? I have heard that the appropriate ratio for QC licenses is five or six users per license, but I am not sure if this ratio applies to QTP licenses as well.
Re: How many QTP licenses to upgrade to Global?
Our testers are in QC all the time at the same time, so it has to be a 1-to-1 ratio. Actually have more qtp licenses than users since we have more test machines than people and they are running QTP 24x7 in a host pool controlled by QC and used by local people during the day and offshore at night.
Guess it really depends on how integrated you are with QC/QTP usage.
