I would like the get an explanation please of how to build correctly a QTP Automation infrastructure from scratch. let say that i want start working with QTP. what are the things i need consider/take care of?how it should be look like.
thanks for the reply.
I'm using QTP for some time :-).
i make my question clearer.
i wanted to know if there is a customary way of how to manage QTP project for example: what folders to hold under automation root,Sor,Lib,Env,Backup, etc?how you as an experienced QTP user will start managing your scripts while you need to start from scratch?the purpose of all that is to be able to be more organized.
Yes.. Better to create folder seperately as like below..
1) Main script
2) OR - for copying all the or's
3) Library - copy all vbs files( u can make different sub folders for reusable and unique files if u want)
4) Datasheet - copy all the required datasheets u want to excute.
5) Reports - folder to paste all execution reports(excels/html files....)
