QTP8.2 + Jinitiator +Java
I have 6 machines I run scripts on. The majority of what we are doing with QTP is automating manual repetitive tasks.
Most of this runs a an oracle forms application that used to use JInitiator. The program was updated to use java 1.6.12 or any new version of java instead of the old JInitiator.
However, When I loaded the newest version of java the program would crash.. Most likely a Java class. However, if I install version 1.5.10 the program will work fine. However a few of the other scripts we have run on websites that need the newer version of Java.
We dont use the Java version for QTP, but is there any other kind of hook that QTP has with java that could be causing this issue.
If you think this has nothing to do with QTP, does anyone have any idea on how to figure out what is causing this java conflict?
Thanks for any help or advice you may have.
Re: QTP8.2 + Jinitiator +Java
I've never crashed the Jinitiator with QTP, but with LoadRunner, I do. Solution is replacing jvm.dll in C:\Program Files\Oracle\JInitiator 188.8.131.52\bin\hotspot with the one in C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_15\bin\client.
Not sure above solution fits your situation also or NOT.
