Someone wrote a QTP script for a web app and for reasons unknown included the PeopleSoft add-in. Now when I open the script it opens in read only because it was written with the PS included. The Peoplesoft add-in is disabled - something to do with Oracle - so, is there a way to get rid of the script's requiring this add in?
This should work just run it in command prompt from a vbs file. You might have to enable the people soft add in first on the test so it isnt read only when the script opens it.
Dim App 'As Application
Set App = CreateObject("QuickTest.Application")
App.Visible = True
App.Open path to your test, False
'can add as many add ins here as you want and will remove all the older addins that are associated to the test
arrtestaddins = Array("ActiveX","Web" )
Not sure what version you are using of QTP but in QTP 10 if a addin that was associated with a test is not loaded it still opens it with read/write priviliges. So maybe your problem is something else unless thats how previous versions of QTP work.
