I am running QTP 9.5 and to test a Window Client app developed in C++.
This app usually runs in full screen mode and has special keyboard key combination to close.
When I run a QTP Test Case which does some stuff on UI and then finally when I try to close using the key combination.
(Shift + F10) and click “Yes” on confirmation dialog.
This closes the Application UI but the Application.exe file still running in the taskmanager. It never goes away until I manually kill it.
This problem only happens when I do the special close from QTP or in some cases when I do the special close manually while QTP is open.
So finally when QTP is open on the machine this happens.
I also have another problem. In our app during installation it registers some .exe files as services. Typically the registration should finish in 2 to 3 secs.
But when QTP is open on that machine or installation is done through a QTP script it will take atleast 5 mins to finish the registration.
Another weird thing is during this 5 min time, if I try to open any exe file e.g. notepad.exe it will take 5 to 10 mins for notepad window to comeup.
When I see CPU usage its normal I can see at 60 to 70 % free.
Anybody has this kind of process lockup issue with QTP.
