I have qtp 9.2, testadvantage 9.1 and have automated my windows client application built with netadvantage and winforms and things are as good as they can be in that environment.
Now I'm trying to automate my web application built with netadvantage asp.net 9.1. I can't recognize a lot of the infragistics stuff on the web. So I called Infragistics thinking that I had to enable something somewhere so testadvantage could recognize the web object.
Infragistics told me that testadvantage does not support a web app built with asp.net netadvantage.
OK, so what are people doing? I've seen several posts on here that suggest that people are able to get some functionality out of testadvantage against the web. What's going on?
Re: Infragistics qtp & web app developed with asp.
A checkpoint against it only gives me html tag and inner text. So I don't know how to verify against it. The Infragistics for winforms would provide the whole grid to me and could select the columns and rows.
What I can record into the OR are all the objects that make up the grid, there are links, images and etc. and it doesn't identify the columns and rows. I need to obtain values out of the rows, the grid I'm talking about in my AUT for this particular instance selects the objects in the AUT. An object in my AUT is a formula for example, the formula might be named "formula1", but there may be version 1-9999 of that formula, so I would have to get the version column in addition to the name of the formula. And I can't do that unless I record every object into the OR which is utterly impractical if not impossible.
