Re: How to skip an action

What in the world is this related to? An Automated tool? If so, which one?

The post OBVIOUSLY doesn't belong in chit-chat!

Re: How to skip an action

You could simply remark the action out. Or you could create a coded variable or set a "Flag" before you start the test and use "IF" statements for each of the actions so that only the actions desired for that run would be selected.

And, this really should be in the automation forum I'm thinking.

Re: How to skip an action

    Tupelo,

As you said above, say the test has 10 actions like 1.Add Mazda 2. Add Ford 3.Add Toyota...if you want to skip one then you can do this:

    1. Make the actions reusable.
    2. Create one new action (Driver script) beside all mentioned above.
    3. From expert view, select this new action and write the code like this:

    RunAction "Add Mazda",oneIteration,parameters if any
    'RunAction "Add Ford",oneIteration,parameters if any
    RunAction "All Toyota",oneIteration,parameters if any

See above, you can comment the action which you dont want to execute/run.

    Hope this will help you...

Re: How to skip an action

    Hi,

    LoadAndRunAction(TestPath, ActionName, [Iteration], [Parameters])

Use this. See the help document.

    Thanks,

    [ QUOTE ]
'Call RunAction("All Toyota", oneIteration) or remove

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can put the comment as in quote, no need to remove

Re: How to skip an action

use different environment values, let say
    "Add_Mazda"
    "Add_Ford"
    "Add_Toyota"
and set the value(s) to TRUE or FALSE.
in each of your actions use (depending from the action name):

    If Not Environment.Value("Add_Mazda") Then
    ExitAction
    End If
